Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Pflugerville Pets Alive!

Pflugerville Pets Alive! (PPA!) is a 501(c) 3 (nonprofit) organization run exclusively by volunteers.

What are we doing?

We are currently focused on helping the homeless pets of Pflugerville to be healthy and find safe and happy homes, establishing programs that benefit the pets in the Pflugerville Animal Shelter, and informing the community of Pflugerville that they can find their next pet with Pflugerville Pets Alive! While our primary goal is Pflugerville, we are able help within 50 miles of the city; anything outside that area will require special permission.

How can you help?

We are working on making changes and are having success but it takes a village to care for the homeless pets so we need your help. Check out our Be Involved page for different way that you can help.

Where is Pflugerville Pets Alive! located?

We are a network of animal fosters/volunteer so we don’t have a physical location but you can always reach our to us by email at info@pflugervillepetsalive.org.

Is every animal spayed/neutered before adoption?

Yes, every animal that comes to us and the Pflugerville Animal Shelter is spayed/neutered and chipped.

What are PPA!’s funding sources?

From people like you and we are also working on getting more sponsorship.

Are donations tax-exempt?

Yes because we are a 501(c) 3 (nonprofit) organization.

Is PPA! the same as Pflugerville Animal Shelter?

No, PPA! is a separate organization but we help our friends from the Pflugerville Animal Shelter in different ways such as fostering when pets need to get rid of some stress from being at the shelter, transporting the animals when needed and in many other ways they need us.

Is PPA! associated to Austin Pets Alive!?

No, we are a separate organization but we share the same culture and enthusiasm in helping all animals in Pflugerville.
